St Paul's Cathedral

Future Plans

St Paul's receives no regular funding from the state or the Church of England, but the cost of maintaining this magnificent building is very great. Your contributions will fund vitally needed work to ensure the long-term survival of one of the UK's most loved buildings and places of worship.

We actively seek funds for a variety of projects:

  • New exhibitions in the upper Triforium levels and the restoration of the fabric and contents of Wren's Library, as part of our overall Interpretation Project. This programme began with Oculus: An Eye into St Paul's, a permanent film experience in the crypt.
  • Music, including chorister music.
  • To extend the work done by our Schools & Families Department, to widen our audiences across all areas of Cathedral life. Cost for the existing Schools & Families programme is £150,000 per annum.
  • To extend the work done by our Adult Learning Department, to include outreach to adults from minority communities. The expansion of our Adult Learning programme will cost an additional £100,000 per annum.

Please contact the Development Office for further information and help us with these projects. The Cathedral's Development Office manages all support for the cathedral via the St Paul's Cathedral Foundation, the St Paul's Cathedral School Foundation (the Choristers' Charity) and the Friends of St Paul's.

You can help by contributing to the Triforium and Library project, music and chorister music, or other aspects of St Paul's Cathedral by a gift now or through a gift in your will.
