Feedback from BSL Multimedia Guide users at St Paul's:
Chaplain among Deaf and Deaflblind people, The Diocese of London
"It’s fantastic to see the BSL multimedia guides at St Paul’s with clear signing and subtitles! It will enhance the experience of any Deaf visitor as it gives equal access to the cathedral in a flexible way. It’s great fun and easy to use. I hope the Deaf community will visit and try it out for themselves."
Hilary Sage
A reader from the Diocese of London Deaf Church
"I
have visited St Paul's Cathedral many times over the years, but still
didn't know all the information that is now in the guide. For
example, I didn’t know that the word 'nave' comes from the Latin word for
ship! These little snippets of information are really good. It is a wonderful idea to have the guide in BSL format."
Jean St Clair
Actress
"I think that these guides are fantastic because they give
you the freedom to choose when you want to visit St Paul’s – rather than having
to book on a signed tour at an allocated time. The guides are really clear in
BSL. There’s so much within the guides – St Paul’s is so rich in
history. Seeing the story signed really draws you in, now more people will
definitely want to come!"
