Guided Tours
Introductory Talks (no extra cost above admission)
A brief introduction (15-20 minutes) to the history and architecture of the cathedral.
Introductory Talks are recommended for those with limited time. Talks run regularly throughout the day, please enquire at the guiding desk when you arrive at the cathedral.
Guided Tours (no extra cost above admission)
A guided tour of the cathedral and crypt which lasts for 90 minutes and usually commence at 10am, 11am, 1pm and 2pm (spaces are limited on these popular tours). Please reserve a place at the guiding desk when you arrive at the cathedral (it is not possible to make reservations in advance). The tour takes in the cathedral church floor and the crypt. It also visits the famous Geometric Staircase, the Chapel of St. Michael & St. George as well as the Quire which are areas that are not usually available to members of the public.
The tour covers the history of St. Paul's, its architecture as well as many of the tombs and memorials that are in the cathedral, including Sir Christopher Wren, Wellington and Nelson to name but a few.
There are places where you are able to sit during the tour.
A private tour in English for groups of 10+ can be arranged in advance. An additional charge of £3 per adult, £2.50 per senior/student and £1 per child will apply. There is a minimum charge of £30 for private tour bookings. Please contact the admissions department at least a week in advance on 020 7246 8357 or if you wish to have a private tour for your group. Prices quoted are valid to 31 December 2013.
