For more than 1,400 years, a Cathedral dedicated to St Paul has stood at the highest point in the City. The present Cathedral is the masterpiece of Britain's most famous architect Sir Christopher Wren.

Beethoven to fill St Paul's for Lord Mayor's charity

Performed by the English Chamber Orchestra with Choir of the 21st Century and singers from Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Drama, the symphony will be conducted by Howard Williams.
Soloists include Elizabeth Llewellyn, Sarah Connolly, Andrew Kennedy and Mark Stone.
The concert is part of the Lord Mayor's Appeal, an annual year-long drive
to raise money for the incumbent Lord Mayor's chosen charities.
Current Lord Mayor, Roger Gifford, has chosen City Music Foundation, Future for Kids, Gifford Wood Appeal, The Harold Samuel Collection and
the Lord Mayor's Scholarship Programme.
