Contact the Elderly to hold Golden Jubilee Concert at St Paul's
30 July 2015
A charity which has helped transform the lives of lonely older people for the past 50 years will celebrate its Golden Jubilee at St Paul's.
Since 1965, Contact the Elderly has been carrying out its vital work, with the simple concept of tea, cake and conversation at Sunday tea
To commemorate their 50th anniversary they are holding a Golden Jubilee Concert at St Paul’s on 29 October 2015 at 7pm.

Concertgoers will be invited to ‘celebrate the power of contact’ with an evening of orchestral music and readings from special guests.
Maureen Lipman will attend the evening to perform a special reading as choral and orchestral forces join together to mark 50 years of relieving loneliness and social isolation.
The evening's programme includes pieces from The Sound of Music and Company as well as works by Tchaikovsky, Mozart, Handel, Parry and Whitacre. There will also be an opportunity for everyone to sing along together before the end of the concert, a way of recreating the joyous atmosphere of Contact the Elderly tea parties.
All money raised will go directly towards the work of Contact the Elderly.
If you would like more information about a fundraising dinner and auction taking place in the St Paul’s crypt after the concert, and how to book a table, please email Gemma MacNulty.
Further details about the programme will be announced in the coming months. Please visit the Contact the Elderly website for these announcements.
