More tickets for St John Passion to be released

Owing to overwhelming demand, which saw 1,000 tickets claimed in under five hours, St Paul's will release more seats for its annual performance of Bach's St John Passion.


The performance of Bach's intense masterpiece, which narrates the events leading to the crucifixion of Christ, will take place in the Cathedral on Tuesday 15 April at 6.30pm.

Tickets will be made available on Monday 17 March at 1pm.

Sung in German by the Cathedral Choir and Cathedral Chorus with the London Mozart Players, the Passion will be conducted by Andrew Carwood.

The tickets are free and available from www.bachpassion.eventbrite.co.uk.
