St Paul's Archive reveals piece of Titanic history, 100 years on

Throughout its history St Paul's has hosted many memorial services, including for those who lost their lives on the Titanic.

This Sunday, April 15, marks the centenary of the sinking of the ship with the loss of 1,512 lives.

Just four days after the ship was lost, the focus of the nation turned to St Paul's, where the memorial service took place. The cathedral was packed and thousands lined the streets outside.

From the archives of St Paul's Cathedral, we can share with you the order of service from that day.

The final hymn was Eternal Father, strong to save, the first verse of which concludes:
Oh hear us when we cry to Thee,
For those in peril on the sea.
