The Crypt
The Crypt at St Paul’s is the largest in Europe, providing the footprint of the Cathedral.
Vaulted ceilings and stunning stonework decorate the space, which is the final resting place of some of the world’s greatest heroes, poets and scientists.
The Western end of the Crypt provides a beautiful blank canvas for canapé receptions, bowl food and food station events as well as formal gala dinners, award ceremonies and presentations. Entry to the space is via the Churchill Gates and Nelson’s Chamber.
Room capacity and layout
The Crypt can host standing receptions for up to 350 guests. For dinners, we can host up to 250 guests on round tables, and up to 120 guests on one long table.

Availability and booking
The Crypt is available for evening events Mondays to Thursdays, as well as Friday and Saturday evenings by exception.

Our wood-panelled Chapter House dining rooms can house 70 people for a standing reception, or up to 32 for a seated dinner.
Up to 250 guests can join us in the Nelson Chamber, where the tomb of Admiral Lord Nelson provides a unique centrepiece.
The garden spaces of our Cathedral are a fantastic backdrop for BBQs, bars and canapé receptions, hosting up to 350 guests.
