St Paul’s Crowned Best Cultural Experience at Toast the City Awards
This award is recognition of our unique and enduring place in the fabric of the City of London. Every year, we welcome almost 1.5 million people through our doors including City workers, Londoners, and tourists alike. For centuries, our Cathedral has played an iconic role as a cultural symbol in the life of London and Great Britain as a place of worship, and as a centre for artistic expression and architectural heritage.
The Toast the City Awards were created to recognise the institutions new and old that have helped build the Square Mile into one of the most vibrant areas of London.
The Dean of St Paul’s Cathedral, the Very Revd Andrew Tremlett, said:
“This win is a reflection of the incredible work done by our staff and volunteers day in day out to make every visit memorable and share their love of the Cathedral with our city and the world.
“St Paul’s is a place of spiritual, historical and artistic significance, and this award showcases that the Cathedral continues to be a global icon embedded in the identity of the Square Mile.
