Two art installations to be displayed at St Paul's as part of London Design Festival
With more than 20 years of experience in architectural lighting design, Kabluka is internationally recognised for using light as a social, cultural and emotional medium. His installations invite visitors to reflect on themes of unity, hope and shared human experience.
Presented in the UK for the first time, the two installations will be displayed in the Cathedral grounds for the last two weeks of September.
"Soul", projected onto the Cathedral's west front, is a large-scale participatory light and projection installation. Visitors are invited to contribute thoughts and reflections through a digital platform, generating coloured light responses connected to themes such as hope, peace, kindness and community. As participation grows, the artwork evolves into a collective expression of shared experience, combining projection, bespoke digital content and an original soundscape.
Located in the south Churchyard Gardens, "The Point of Unity" is a sculptural light installation that received international recognition following its debut at Burning Man 2025. Exploring themes of unity, hope and resilience, the work features a mirrored canopy that reflects visitors, architecture and sky by day. After dark, it transforms into an illuminated environment incorporating fibre-optic lighting, laser effects and sound.
The installations will both be free and unticketed to visit from the middle of September.
