Sales Assistant - 3 months Fixed Term Contract

We are looking to recruit for exceptional, part-time Sales Assistants to work as part of the Cathedral shop team supporting the trading subsidiary, St Paul’s Cathedral Enterprises, of this iconic Central London landmark. As well as serving our visitors and customers by providing exceptional customer care and assistance/information, you will help in the day-to-day operational activities of the Cathedral shop. This involves operating the tills and handling cash and stock. To be effective in the role you’ll have excellent customer service skills, ideally gained in a visitor-facing role in a busy environment. We would love for you to apply if you have: • Experience in a retail environment
• Experience in cash-handling and computerised systems, in particular tills
• Confident and clear communication skills, both written and verbal The icing on the cake would be advanced skills in a language other than English to engage with our visitors from across the globe. As the Cathedral serves as a place of worship, a centre of learning and a visitor attraction 365 days a year, you will need to work some Saturdays and bank holidays as part of the annualised hours rota. In return you’ll find we are a welcoming place to work and we each take responsibility for our part in the Cathedral’s work, looking after St Paul’s for the next generation. • Our holiday allowance is 33 days (FTE) including bank holidays
• Our pension scheme allows for up to 7.5% employer contribution

Senior Individual Giving and Membership Manager

Working closely with the Director of Development and the wider Development and Cathedral team, you will lead on all individual and regular giving, membership programmes and legacy fundraising across the Cathedral in order to significantly increase these income streams to secure more diverse and sustainable income for St Paul’s Cathedral in preparation for a transformational Development Campaign from 2025.

You will be responsible for the development and implementation of a individual and regular giving strategy, building an organisational-wide supporter journey programme driven by data and insight, deepening relationships with our members, visitors and supporters through excellent stewardship and customer service to drive a significant increase in income and engagement.

The successful candidate will have:Experience of working in a Direct Marketing role Experience of raising income from individualsExperience of running membership schemesExperience of running fundraising appeals Experience of audience insight and segmentation principles and use of data and CRM systems to develop supporter journeys that increase income and engagementDemonstrable track record in developing and delivering supporter/customer strategiesThe successful applicant will also be expected to share in St Paul’s Cathedral’s commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults.

IT Support Analyst

We are looking to recruit a part-time IT Support Analyst. This role supports all the clergy and staff of St Paul’s Cathedral in making the best use of their IT equipment and systems. In this role you will be the first point of contact for all IT problems, queries and requests and will take ownership, following them through to resolution and keeping in contact with the user. You will support the Head of IT in improving the IT systems and in training and supporting users from across the Cathedral to use IT as required to perform their duties. The IT Support Analyst provides support to IT applications, systems & services; documenting changes to infrastructure and functionality as required; ensures that system held information remains secure; ensures that staff and clergy understand how to use the IT they require to perform their duties. The IT Support Analyst also completes assigned project work to support IT changes, developments and improvements that delivers benefits to the Cathedral. Providing helpdesk support to Cathedral users, acting as the first point of contact for IT problems, queries and requests. Taking ownership for the resolution of issues by investigating and applying solutions and escalating to other parties when necessary. Providing support for a range of Cathedral information systems. Understanding the business use and general functionality of systems; documenting changes; resolving problems; liaising and working with application suppliers and their support desks as required. Providing support for the Cathedral network when required. Understanding the unique network topology; completing assigned system management and monitoring tasks; investigating and resolving common problems; escalating complicated problems internally, or to third party support and working with them to provide diagnostic information and apply solutions under instruction. Supporting the Head of IT to introduce changes and improvements to the IT environment. Supporting the Head of IT to improve the general use of IT within the Cathedral by providing IT training to network users and assisting in writing user guides where applicable. Setting up AV equipment for Cathedral meetings and events. Essential: Experience of understanding and supporting an organisations specific business information systems. Experience of providing IT helpdesk support to onsite users and network support. A strong understanding of standard desktop applications and user problems. Ability to understand and document processes, procedures and topologies to best practice standards. Experience of providing user training. Confident, clear and effective communication skills both written and verbal. Excellent customer facing skills and able to build strong and effective working relationships internally and externally at all levels. Ability to work effectively and collaboratively as a member of a team. Ability to solve problems, who can ‘think outside the box’ and expedite issues where appropriate. Self-motivated and pro-active, able to work independently without supervision. Ability to identify and implement system improvements. Able to adopt a methodical and disciplined approach to work. An appetite to learn and develop relevant knowledge and skills. Enjoy using technology to improve the way people work. Desirable: An understanding of ITIL methodologies would be advantageous. Experience of completing system testing. We are looking to recruit a part-time IT Support Analyst. Cleaner

We are looking for a new recruit to join our friendly cleaning team, working in the Cathedral and its associated buildings. This is a fantastic opportunity to work behind the scenes of one of the most iconic buildings in the world, keeping it safe and clean for all its visitors and staff. The role includes cleaning the steps leading up to the famous frontage of the Cathedral, the vast and beautiful Cathedral floor, the largest crypt in Europe, the hidden corridor of the Triforium, the breath-taking galleries, plus staff offices and communal areas. To thrive in this role, you’ll need to be comfortable with the everyday manual work, including the 500+ stairs to the Galleries. We’d also love someone with a positive approach to work, who is reliable and who enjoys working as part of a team. In return you’ll find we are a welcoming place to work and we each take responsibility for our part in the Cathedral’s work, looking after St Paul’s for the next generation. • Our holiday allowance is 25 days plus bank holidays • Our pension scheme allows for up to 7.5% employer contribution • And as you might expect we have life assurance of four times basic salary and an employee assistance programme. We’ll also make sure you have the training and management support to do a great job. Our rota, which does include some weekend and bank holiday working, ensures that shifts are divided fairly among the team to support a good work-life balance, with no late nights and only a few early mornings. In addition to the pay rate and standard benefits above, we provide medical checks and eye tests to keep you in tip top condition.
