Chorister Trust
The St Paul's Cathedral Chorister Trust was established in 1984 to provide resources for the education and musical training of our Choristers, regardless of the financial position of their families. Grants made by the Trust have given many boys the unique experience of being a member of the choir of St Paul’s.
The St Paul's Cathedral Chorister Trust was established in 1984 to provide resources for the education and musical training of our Choristers,
regardless of the financial position of their families. Grants made by the Trust have given many boys the unique experience of being a member
of the choir of St Paul’s.
The Chapter of St Paul's currently provide very generous scholarships which cover the full cost of the Choristers’ education and music tuition.
This support for Choristers is supplemented by grants from the Chorister Trust to around 40% of the Choristers towards the cost of boarding
fees.
In addition to this long standing commitment the Chorister Trust has recently made two major commitments to support the music at St Pauls:
A donation of £750,000 towards the new Chorister Boarding Block and, in response to the impact of Covid-19, a grant of £150,000 spread
over two years towards the cost of Chorister education.
We are very grateful to have received a charitable gift from the Patron's Fund, and are honoured to have HM The Queen as our Patron.
The charity’s funds are professionally managed. A board of trustees is appointed by Chapter and the Court of Aldermen of the City of London
Corporation. Their collective experience encompasses finance, choral excellence, education and administration.
