Terms and conditions for tickets

Ticket terms and conditions

family exploring the crypt

The following terms and conditions apply to all tickets (and any associated retail items) booked on stpauls.co.uk or our sub-domains. Any tickets purchased via official third-party resellers will adhere to the specific reseller's terms and conditions.

General terms and conditions for all ticket sales

  • All tickets and items ordered are non-refundable once confirmed and paid.
  • Tickets cannot be resold nor offered for resale via a third party. Tickets found to be resold or offered for resale will be invalidated.
  • Tickets found to be altered or defaced will be invalidated.
  • St Paul’s Cathedral reserves the right to refuse admission, terminate a visit, or restrict access to areas within the Cathedral at short notice, without warning and without entitlement to refund.
  • By making an order you confirm you have read and accept our Terms and Conditions of Entry.
  • By making an order you confirm your acceptance of our Privacy Policy.

Additional terms for sightseeing tickets

In addition to the general terms and conditions for ticket sales above, purchases for sightseeing tickets will adhere to the following terms and conditions:

  • Sightseeing tickets are valid on your chosen visit date for entry from your chosen entry time. Your date and entry time selection are shown against the items in your basket and listed on your tickets.
  • If you miss your entry time you will not be guaranteed entry to the Cathedral. Staff will advise the next available entry time but at busy times, or at end of day, this may not be on the same day.
  • You may amend your sightseeing ticket booking up to 24 hours before your booked visit date and time as printed on the tickets. 24 hours is based on London GMT time. Bookings can be amended through our manage my booking interface and following the on-screen steps to change your visit date or entry time. You will not be able to adjust ticket types or quantities. We reserve the right to charge a reasonable amendment fee should you need to reschedule a sightseeing ticket visit date or entry time after 24 hours before the booked visit date and entry time.
  • Should St Paul's Cathedral have to adjust opening hours or fully close for any previously unadvertised reason after tickets have been booked for a sightseeing visit date, you will be given the opportunity to amend your visit date or entry time free of charge, or if unsuitable then to have a full refund.
  • Please note that special services or events may close all or part of the visitor areas of the Cathedral, sometimes at short notice.
  • For sightseeing tickets which allow access to the Dome Galleries, please note that access is via stairs only. We recommend that those with pre-existing medical conditions, mobility difficulties or concerns with heights and confined spaces do not attempt this climb.
  • Child ticket holders (available to those aged 6-15) must be accompanied and supervised by an adult aged 18 or over at all times during a visit.
  • Groups of 10 or more children (aged 6-17) must be accompanied and supervised by an adult(s) aged 18 or over at all times during a visit. For children aged 6-12 a minimum ratio of 1 adult per 10 children is required; for children aged 13-17 a minimum ratio of 1 adult per 20 children will be required. Please ensure you meet these minimum ratios.

Additional terms for special events, and digital events

In addition to the general terms and conditions for ticket sales above, purchases for guided tours, special events, and digital events will adhere to the following terms and conditions:

  • Tickets for guided tours and special events (such as digital tours, online events, concerts, talks and lectures, late openings or Sunday Dome climb) are valid for the booked tour or event date and time only. Amendments cannot be made once confirmed and paid. Any amendments will only be agreed at our discretion, with at least 24 hours’ notice given to St Paul’s, and subject to availability. We reserve the right to charge a reasonable amendment fee.
  • Unless stated, tickets for digital tours or online events do not include access to recordings.
