Carpentry Apprentice (Level 2)
Are you passionate about heritage, history, and hands-on craftsmanship?
We’re offering a unique opportunity to learn the craft of carpentry through a structured apprenticeship programme. Working alongside skilled professionals and attending off site training at the Building Crafts College, you will contribute to the care and conservation of the Cathedral while gaining a nationally recognised qualification.
About the apprenticeship
- This is a Level 2 apprenticeship lasting 24 months
- Training includes both on-site experience and college -based learning with the Building Crafts College
- You will be supported by a mentor and assessed through practical and written work
- Upon successful completion of Level 2, there may be an opportunity to further extend the apprenticeship progressing to a Level 3
What we are looking for
The successful candidate will:
- have the passion to learn the craft of carpentry
- a willingness to attend college and obtain qualifications
- able to work at heights with relevant safety equipment where appropriate
- be flexible in attitude and willing to undertake a variety of maintenance tasks.
The successful applicant will also be expected to share in St Paul’s Cathedral’s commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults.
