Join us under the Dome to hear our world-famous Grand Organ in the hands of some of the world's finest players with our 2026 Season of Celebrity Organ Recitals. This year's theme is 'Legacy of Legends'.

Marcel Dupré was one of the most highly regarded virtuoso performers of the twentieth century, if not organ history as a whole. As well as serving as Titular Organist at St Sulpice on what was then the largest organ in France, he was also an international star, renowned for his virtuosic repertoire and his improvisation.

Beyond his career as a performer, though, Dupré was a great teacher, teaching at the Paris Conservatoire for 28 years and amassing an impressive pupil roster including Olivier Messiaen, Jean Langlais, Pierre Cochereau, Jeanne Demessieux, and Marie-Claire Alain herself. His teaching bled into his compositions, too, with many of them designed to improve an organist’s technique.

In this programme, Karol will perform works by Dupré and his pupils, and then, as Dupré himself used to do, he will improvise the final item in the concert.

Karol Mossakowski is one of the leading organists of his generation, and has built an exceptional career as a recitalist and orchestral organist. He has performed alongside many of the world's most prominent orchestras and given world premieres of new works for the organ. Following in the footsteps of Marcel Dupré, he is currently one of the Titular Organists at St Sulpice.

Tickets cost £15, or £12 for seniors, students and children.
