Bishops are ordained to be shepherds of Christ’s flock and guardians of the faith of the apostles, proclaiming the gospel of God’s kingdom and leading his people in mission.

The particular role of a bishop – while remaining a deacon and priest – is to proclaim and guard the faith, to preside at the sacraments, to lead the Church’s prayer and to hand on its ministry.

In this special service which includes Holy Communion,  two new Bishops will be consecrated:

The Reverend James Treasure as the Bishop of St Germans; and

The Venerable Rod Green as the Bishop of Stepney

The service is free and open to all those wishing to attend. Registering your interest helps us with our sustainability targets, only printing the number of service papers needed, please use the booking link.
