A large part of the Cathedral’s worship is led by our choir of boy Choristers and they can be seen at some of the nation’s most visible occasions,
including in recent times the Diamond Jubilee of HM The Queen and the funeral of Baroness Thatcher.
All our Choristers live and study at the Cathedral School and sing in the Cathedral nearly every day, with rehearsals beginning at 8am before a
full day at school and then Choral Evensong at 5pm.
These boys work tirelessly to achieve the high standards that we and the nation expect of them without any state funding. To ensure we can be open
to all who have the talent no matter their background we must secure long-term funding to enable bursaries to be awarded to those individuals.
With your help we can sustain the excellent quality and standard of music and underpin the substantial financial commitment to music made every
year by Chapter to the musical life of St Paul's Cathedral. This amounts to £1.3m.
