Florrie worked as a nurse for over 36 years. She started her nursing at the famous Lady Ridgeway Children's Hospital in Colombo in Ceylon. She came to England in 1962 to continue her nursing career until retirement.

Mother you will be missed your 3 girls 6 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren you was a nurse & great singer love always missed forever Mum
Rev George William Simons

George was a much loved father, grandfather and great-grandfather as well as a dear friend to many he served in over 60 years of ministry in the Methodist Church. He is fondly remembered and will be greatly missed.
