Throughout his retirement Martin enjoyed many pastimes and hobbies. Despite poor health and restricted mobility, he remained cheerful, facing these challenges with equanimity. He will be greatly missed by all.

So sorry Mum, we lost you without being able to say goodbye or hold your hand and give a hug. As my mum you were the best, I hope you are now at rest and you know you were loved as you lived us. Goodnight and God bless xx

A courageous man, much loved by his wife of 51 years and his entire family.

Mum loved a good soap opera storyline and ultimately had a part in the biggest storyline of our generation. Never seen without her nails painted and her hair done, she loved a cup of tea. We will miss you Mum.
