'You're a very kind person' to which I replied 'And who was it who taught me to be kind?' I could have wept then My mother was a very public person who led a very private life. The worst wretchedness was not to be with her at the end. Kind thoughts to Beth and Shanna and Caroline and Gail and Tracey and Bindy and Stacey (lovely baby!) and Jemma (another baby!) and John and Justin and Tom and Mandy and Anna and Lumi and Rebecca. Also to Annette and Jenefer, of course
