Florrie worked as a nurse for over 36 years. She started her nursing at the famous Lady Ridgeway Children's Hospital in Colombo in Ceylon. She came to England in 1962 to continue her nursing career until retirement.

Helen was a bright, fun and loving woman. A Mother, daughter, wife, sister and dearest friend. She was extremely caring and dedicated her life to childcare, her horses and her family. She's dearly missed by us all.

I never thought the day u want to hospital dad was going to be the last day i seen u. Back together now with mum mary we all miss u like mad every day till we meet again good night God bless
