HR and Payroll Administrator
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced administrator to join the HR department in one of the most iconic buildings in the world, St Paul’s Cathedral.
We are seeking to appoint an HR and Payroll Administrator. This is a key role in our HR team, providing essential first point of contact support to our staff and back-office administration for the HR department itself.
The successful candidate will be responsible for administration relating to recruitment, payroll and training, and also provide support in preparing correspondence in other areas such as employee relations casework, pay awards and benefits.
As such, this is a great opportunity for candidates to gain experience across the wide remit of HR and the role could serve as a strong starting point for a career within HR for those with the desire to progress.
To be successful we expect you to:
- be welcoming and confident in your approach to people;
- have payroll and office-based administrative experience with excellent organisational skills;
- be confident in the use of Microsoft Office and in particular Excel;
- have accurate data entry skills.

IT Support Analyst
In this role you will be the first point of contact for all IT problems, queries and requests and will take ownership, following them through to resolution and keeping in contact with the user. You will support of the Head of IT in improving the IT systems, and in training and supporting users from across the Cathedral to use IT as required to perform their duties.
We would like to hear from you if:
- You have experience of supporting organisation specific information systems.
- You have good knowledge of standard desktop applications, and common user problems.
- You have experience of providing onsite helpdesk support.
- You have excellent communication and customer service skills.
- You have previous experience of leading user training.

Stonemason Apprentice (Level 2)
Are you passionate about heritage, history, and hands-on craftsmanship?
We’re offering a unique opportunity to learn the craft of stonemasonry through a structured apprenticeship programme. Working alongside skilled professionals and attending off site training at the Building Crafts College, you will contribute to the care and conservation of historic buildings while gaining a nationally recognised qualification.
About the apprenticeship
- This is a Level 2 apprenticeship lasting 24 months
- Training includes both on-site experience and college -based learning with the Building Crafts College
- You will be supported by a mentor and assessed through practical and written work
- Upon successful completion of Level 2, there may be an opportunity to further extend the apprenticeship progressing to a Level 3
What we are looking for
The successful candidate will:
- have the passion to learn the craft of stonemasonry;
- a willingness to attend college and obtain qualifications;
- able to work at heights with relevant safety equipment where appropriate;
- be flexible in attitude and willing to undertake a variety of maintenance tasks.
The successful applicant will also be expected to share in St Paul’s Cathedral’s commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults.
