Summer of Stories: Explorers and adventurers

Join us for fun, drop-in family activities in the Cathedral throughout August. Included with your sightseeing ticket.

Need to chill out? Get stuck into some polar exploration with this week's theme of 'Explorers and adventurers'!

This week you can:

• Make your own pot of sensory snow slime to take home and find out more about some of the polar explorers remembered here at St Paul's. Thursday to Saturday, 10.30am to 12 midday and 1pm to 2.30pm.
• Follow a scavenger trail to help our intrepid explorer pack their kit for a polar expedition (and don't forget to return to base for a sticker when you're fully packed!) Thursday to Saturday, 10.30am to 2.30pm.
• Join fantastic storyteller Dani for a sensory tale for under 5s - perfect for little ones but everyone is welcome! Friday, 11am, 11.30am, 1.30pm and 2pm.

Our activities are best for children aged 7 to 11, but everyone is welcome.

How to book

All activities are included with a sightseeing ticket, which you can purchase on our ticket page.

We offer a range of options for families, including: Family group tickets, £1 tickets for UK visitors receiving Universal Credit, Pension Credit, or Employment Support Allowance, and our Friends Family Membership which gives unlimited visits for a whole year.

Plus, this summer, you can also save on ticket prices with the UK Government's Great British Summer Savings scheme.

Accessibility

BSL interpretation is available for the morning storytelling sessions (10.30am-12pm).

Our book nook and SEND space are available during all activity days (10.30am-2.30pm).

The North Transept entrance has ramped access, and this is the recommended entrance for wheelchair users and people requiring step-free access. The entrance leads directly onto the Cathedral floor. 

Guide dogs, hearing dogs and assistance dogs are all welcome in the Cathedral.
