Join us for fun, drop-in family activities in the Cathedral throughout August. Included with your sightseeing ticket.
Learn more about history's greatest helpers and healers this week at the Cathedral with hands-on activities for the whole family!
This week you can:
- Create your own petri dish artworks inspired by Alexander Fleming's discovery of penicillin using acetate, beads and pipe-cleaners. Thursday and Friday, 10.30am to 12pm and 1pm to 2.30pm.
- Join Barts North Wing to find out more about their Good Samaritan painting and take part in a collaborative drawing activity. Thursday, 10.30am to 12pm and 1pm to 2.30pm.
- Join our friends from the Florence Nightingale Museum to craft your own data bracelet inspired by Florence’s love of statistics and get hands on with items from their handling collection in this fun drop-in activity. Thursday, 10.30am to 12pm and 1pm to 2.30pm.
- Join fantastic storyteller Olivia Armstrong to discover more about the helpers and healers who have graced St Paul’s. Friday, 11am, 11.30am, 1.30pm and 2.30pm. Morning sessions are BSL interpreted
- Enjoy a 10 minute bite-sized history talk with our Learning team and discover more about the people behind our Summer of Stories in this snackable chunk of St Paul’s history! Thursday and Friday, 11.15am and 2.15pm.
Our activities are best for children aged 7 to 11, but everyone is welcome.
How to book
All activities are included with a sightseeing ticket, which you can purchase on our ticket page.
We offer a range of options for families, including: Family group tickets, £1 tickets for UK visitors receiving Universal Credit, Pension Credit, or Employment Support Allowance, and our Friends Family Membership which gives unlimited visits for a whole year.
Plus, this summer, you can also save on ticket prices with the UK Government's Great British Summer Savings scheme.

Accessibility
BSL interpretation is available for the morning storytelling sessions (10.30am-12pm).
Our book nook and SEND space are available during all activity days (10.30am-2.30pm).
The North Transept entrance has ramped access, and this is the recommended entrance for wheelchair users and people requiring step-free access. The entrance leads directly onto the Cathedral floor.
Guide dogs, hearing dogs and assistance dogs are all welcome in the Cathedral.
