Chaplains and Minor Canons
The Chaplains and Minor Canons
Meet the full-time clergy who help organise our services and provide pastoral support to the Cathedral’s visitors and worshipers.
There are four full-time clergy working at St Paul's who are part of its ministry and mission team, but are not members of Chapter. Two are Minor Canons with particular areas of specialist responsibility, including ceremonial and musical.
The Chaplains are responsible for the pastoral care of the Cathedral. If you would like to contact any of the Minor Canons, please contact the Liturgical Office on liturgy@stpaulscathedral.org.uk or call 0207 246 8354.

The Reverend Andrew Richardson
Assistant Chaplain
Andrew was ordained by the Episcopal Church in Scotland, where he served full time in parish ministry in Dundee, and later in Glasgow's East End. During his ministry in Scotland he was closely involved in the work of interfaith dialogue and education, serving as Bishop's Officer for Interfaith Relations in Glasgow and representing the Church at national events and in local discussion.
Andrew moved to London in 2015, where he served as Assistant Priest in a City of London parish, before becoming Interim Chaplain at St Paul's Cathedral in 2019 and then later, Assistant Chaplain. He relishes the opportunities and privilege Cathedral chaplaincy provides for meeting people from across London, the UK and the wider world too.
