Fashion show in the Crypt

Fashion show in the Crypt
We opened our doors for a very special event as part of London Fashion Week on the evening of Friday 17th February.
Annie’s Ibiza held their first collection show in the Cathedral Crypt, with skincare and make-up by Sofia and Charlotte Tilbury, hair by Sam McKnight and Mr Smith, show production by Antony Waller (in conjunction with White Light Productions) and champagne donated by Moet & Chandon and served by The Recipe.
The collection was designed by the founder of Annie’s Ibiza, Annie Doble, who is renowned in the fashion world for her archive of rare vintage and antique pieces. For her first collection, Annie was inspired by both contemporary Ibiza and historic fashion, with pieces made using artisanal techniques like tapestry needlework. Annie also ensures that the brands she carries in her stores are sustainably focused.
Following the success of her stores and high demand from clients, Annie wanted to launch her own line inspired by her love and knowledge of vintage fashion and ancient techniques; a collection that would be timeless and intended to last a lifetime, passed down through generations.
With the environment in mind, the collection will be available in limited exclusive runs with the aim not to over-produce and to minimise waste. The entire collection is handmade, with many of the pieces featuring couture beadwork and materials used throughout are dead stock, recycled or vegan. Two of the looks were created using 100% recycled plastic pallets made by conscious Creative unit ‘Are You Mad’, from the recyclable waste collected from Annie’s London Store.
There were 250 guests, including Daisy Lowe, Pixie Geldof, Lady Mary Charteris, Clara Paget, Jaime Winstone, Nick Grimshaw and Lady Amelia Spencer.
Many more photos can be found on Annie’s Ibiza Instagram, and the designer had this special thank you for Corporate Events Manager, Nicholas Salmon and everyone at the Cathedral involved in the evening:
‘I wanted to say a huge, huge thank you for supporting me on my first show, it meant more to me than words can describe! Thank you for believing in me and giving me the confidence to be able to show my first collection with such ease…’
