In July 2020 age 94 years Edith went to live in a care home, to help her cope after a heart attack. Unfortunately the care home had a Covid-19 outbreak in Jan 2021. Fondly remembered by all family and friends.

My father was a kind and gentle person and a loving father. He died in a care home, where I thought he would be protected. He deserved better after a long life of public service but the government let him down.
