Abdul Shakoor
1949 - 2020
He settled in the UK in 1954. On 7th July 1976, he became the UK's first South Asian class one HGV driver. In his 32-year long driving career, he drove across UK and Europe. He loved travelling and had many different interesting stories to tell and encountered many different people along the side.

1952 - 2020
My darling mummy who had been suffering with Alzhimerez disease for 8 years lost her battler to covid at the end of last year. We are a Jewish family & are so great full that St Pauls Cathedral have this memorial book.

Derek was a man who made everyone feel like his best friend within minutes of meeting him. He was a much loved man - husband, father, family member and friend. This cruel disease took away one of the best of us.
