My father was a kind and gentle person and a loving father. He died in a care home, where I thought he would be protected. He deserved better after a long life of public service but the government let him down.

My dad left behind a wife , 5 children , 9 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He had many dogs throughout his life and lived life to the full. We all loved him dearly.

Our Dad, who survived growing up during the economic hardships of the "20's and 30's"; storming the beaches of Normandy; being a Dad, Grandad and Great Grandad; only to be bought down by Covid 19. He had an open, loving heart and is sorely missed by my Sister and I, his Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren and everyone who ever met him .
