Phase 1 of Equal Access Project at St Paul's completed

9 Sept 2021

Earlier this year St Paul’s Cathedral completed Phase 1 of the Equal Access project, the first major phase of a permanent accessible entrance to the Cathedral. The project is the most significant change to Christopher Wren’s exterior design in 300 years, taking 20 years from design to completion.
We hope the entrance will open to the public in spring 2022.

Visitor Engagement Programme Manager

We are looking to recruit a Visitor Engagement Programme Manager on a fixed term 12-month contract. Someone who is passionate about attracting new and existing visitors by building partner relationships to organise an exciting and commercially sustainable programme of visitor exhibitions, activities and events aimed at a wide range of audiences. Reporting to the Head of Visitor Operations, you will lead on planning our activities for the Wren 300 celebrations in 2023, as well assisting with the development of future exhibition themes and programming activity for 2024, based on evaluation findings. We would love to hear from you if you have: • a track record of success in delivering visitor led experiences and visitor programming within a complex, cultural, commercial, heritage or visitor attraction setting;
• the ability to devise, design and produce a range of visitor programming experiences and partnerships based on research, data and trends;
• proven organisational and project management skills; and
• excellent interpersonal, team working and stakeholder management skills. In return you’ll find we are a welcoming place to work and we each take responsibility for our part in the Cathedral’s work, looking after St Paul’s for the next generation. • Our holiday allowance is 25 days plus bank holidays
• Our pension scheme allows for up to 7.5% employer contribution
• And as you might expect we have life assurance of four times basic salary and an employee assistance programme. We are an inclusive employer and welcome candidates from all backgrounds. As the Cathedral is open across all 365 days a year, you may be required to work some weekends and bank holidays. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and adults at risk and expect our whole team to share in this commitment. The closing date for applications is 9am on Monday 4 July and interviews will take place on Friday 15 July. We are looking to recruit a Visitor Engagement Programme Manager on a fixed term 12-month contract. Someone who is passionate about attracting new and existing visitors by building partner relationships to organise an exciting and commercially sustainable programme of visitor exhibitions, activities and events aimed at a wide range of audiences.
