Competition dates

  • Start: Monday 1 July 2019 – 12:00 BST
  • End: 30 August 2019 – 23:59 BST

What to enter

  • A photo of a dome made out of recyclable materials made by the participant

Who can enter

  • The competition is open to primary school-age children but images must be submitted by a parent, guardian or carer
  • Entrants may be from any country

How to enter

  • Photos can be submitted via Twitter or emailed to families@stpaulscathedral.org.uk
  • There is no obligation to follow the St Paul’s Twitter accounts
  • There may only be one entry per child
  • Contact details will only be used for correspondence regarding the competition

What images qualify

  • All entries must be the original work of the entrant and must not infringe any copyrights

Judging

  • The judges will be employees of St Paul’s Cathedral, not directly involved in the competition’s organisation
  • The judges’ decisions are final and no correspondence will be entered into regarding these decisions
  • The winner will be contacted as soon as possible after being selected, via the contact details they provided
  • If the winner is uncontactable after reasonable efforts have been made within a two-week period, the prize will be offered to another entrant

The prize

  • Each winner will receive a free trip to St Paul’s for their primary school class of up to 30 pupils guided by one of the Cathedral Schools’ Guides
  • The trip will run for half a day on a weekday during term time and will be subject to availability
  • The prize can only be taken at St Paul’s Cathedral, London and no travel expenses will be included
  • There is no cash alternative
  • There is only one winning entry

Use of submitted images

  • The copyright and ownership of all images remains with the photographer, but St Paul’s Cathedral reserves the right to published and exhibit any image on its website and social media channels. No fees will be payable for these uses

Miscellaneous

  • St Paul’s Cathedral reserves the right to cancel the competition or alter its rules at any stage if unforeseen circumstances dictate
  • This competition is organised and run in its entirety by The Cathedral Church of St Paul in London, known as St Paul’s Cathedral
