Volunteering alongside our staff, our incredible volunteers support our welcome and enhance our visitors and worshippers experience, to make possible so many of our Cathedral activities can be achieved.

Our volunteer teams (around 360 volunteers) support the day-to-day delivery of our varied engagement and worship offer. We couldn't do it without you!
In recognition of your contribution, we have introduced volunteering anniversary milestone badges with the following badges:
- Volunteer badge - joining the Cathedral community
- 1 year commitment
- 3 years
- 5 years
- 10 years
- 15 years
- 20 years
- 25 years
- 30 years
- 35 years
- 40 years
On 2nd May 2024, we held a launch celebration event within the All Volunteers Meeting, and for those in attendance they were able to collect their 'set' of badges and unique tote badge - only available to those who are volunteers with us at this time.
As part of this event, we acknowledged and thanked those that were unable to be with us, and played a video message recorded by the Dean, Andrew Tremlett.
Distribution of badges and bags
If you were unable to join us on 2nd May, your set of badges in a tote bag will be distributed via your teams. Please get in touch with your Staff Lead for more information.
