Experience London’s original skyline view this summer - now available on Sundays, too!
Starting Sunday 6th July (after which further Sundays will be announced) our iconic Dome galleries are open, with admission from 12.30pm until 2pm. If Sundays are your only chance to visit, this is the perfect opportunity to experience our iconic Dome.
Your ticket gives you access to three spectacular galleries, normally only available as part of our full Monday to Saturday visit. The Whispering Gallery, Stone Gallery and Golden Gallery.
More about our three Galleries
- Climb the stairs to the Whispering Gallery, enjoy dramatic views of our interior, both above and below, and test the gallery’s famous whispering walls for yourself.
- Keep going to the Stone Gallery and see sweeping views over London and a host of landmarks.
- Wind your way up the final spiral staircase to the Golden Gallery: the ultimate panoramic viewing spot, before making your way back for a well-earned break in our Crypt Café and Shop.
How to book tickets
To enjoy Dome Sundays, please make sure you book your tickets online, as it will not be possible to buy walk-up tickets.
Access
Please note that the Galleries can be accessed by stairs only. There are a total of 257 steps up to the Whispering Gallery, 376 steps up to the Stone Gallery and 528 steps (total) to the Golden Gallery. We recommend that those with pre-existing medical conditions, mobility difficulties or concerns with heights and confined spaces do not try to climb these stairs.
Buggies, pushchairs and baby slings
Unfortunately, we do not have cloakroom facilities to store buggies, prams and pushchairs, and these items cannot be taken to the Dome Galleries. We recommend front-worn baby carriers and slings.
Photography
We welcome visitor photography on our two external galleries – the Stone Gallery and Golden Gallery – but we ask that visitors do not take photos on the internal Whispering Gallery, or on the main Cathedral floor on Sundays.
