Michael helped so many in his life . He never gave up but then COVID beat him. He deserved many more years of happiness. Michael, by simply being himself, made the world a better place, we were blessed to have known him.

Our Dad. The greatest man we ever knew. Back now with our Mum Janet, who died a few weeks earlier of acute pancreatitis. We are incredibly proud of them both and extremely lucky they were our parents.

A beautiful person who was a caring giving person, who worked as a nurse giving her all to those she cared for. She was a loving wife and loving grandma, step mum, sister, aunt and good friend to all.

A much loved Mum, Mum-in-law and Grandma whose laugh and loving giving nature will be missed by everyone.. She was a retired Physiotherapist a keen flower arranger and bowls player. Mum was very special .

Professor Carl Tighe, born in Handsworth Birmingham and taught creative writing at the University of Derby. In 2000 he founded the first undergraduate degree in creative writing in the UK. He is survived by 6 siblings.

Andy Atkins ...We all miss him dearly. One of the last things he said to me whilst in the Covid ward was "nothing ventured, nothing gained" & that Dad I will live by. Nothing is the same without you.
