Two thousand worshippers at St Paul's for National Day of Prayer
A wave of prayer from the Cathedral
12 May 2016
A full congregation will join Christians around the country on Saturday 14 May for one of the highlights of the 2016 Week of Prayer.
Your Kingdom Come is a gathering to ignite and inspire worship and intercession for a generation to rise up with a fresh passion and confidence for the proclamation of the gospel.
The Bishop of London, The Rt Revd & Rt Hon Dr Richard Chartres will be speaking, joined by founder of 24-7 Prayer Pete Greig, Archdeacon of Hackney Revd Liz Adekunle, Global Vice President of Alpha International HTB Al Gordon, and worship leader singer-songwriter Revd Tim Hughes.
The informal service of prayer and worship falls in the fourth consecutive Week of Prayer in preparation for the great Feast of Pentecost.
Although Your Kingdom Come is fully booked, you can join in prayer.
The Bishop of London said, 'We hope to generate a wave of prayer out from the City of London to the farthest reaches of our Diocese. We will continue to encourage one another to each pray for at least seven people that we may share with them the story of our faith.
'In whatever ways you are able, join us in prayer between Ascension and Pentecost, for I am convinced there is nothing impossible for a Church that is confident, compassionate and creative in the power of the Spirit and in union with Jesus Christ our Lord.'
