Property Operations Manager
We are currently seeking a Property Operations Manager, to lead the operational delivery of our Property team.
We have an exciting 15 year plan of works which involves day to day maintenance and planned work throughout the estate and major projects of national significance.
As the Property Operations Manager, you will allocate resources and inspire a talented team of heritage professionals, and apprentices as we develop our Wren International Centre of Excellence. You will lead positive health and safety, and fire safety culture.
This is an exciting role for a forward thinking, positive construction professional.
The successful applicant will have:
- construction knowledge and qualifications – City and Guilds trade background or higher construction qualifications or accreditation
- be a qualified SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training) or be willing to attend training;
- have experience of working on historic buildings and working knowledge of conservation techniques
- have demonstrable operational line management experience
- be able to read drawings and provide construction detail sketches where required
- detail-orientated approach with strong documentation and record-keeping abilities
- problem-solving mindset with ability to make quick decisions where required, with a positive attitude
- be willing and able to climb the many staircases in the Cathedral, including the 528 steps to the top of the Dome Galleries.

Music Department Operations Officer
This role is a chance to play an important part in our musical life. As part of our Music department, you’ll help ensure the smooth running of daily choral worship and support the Director of Music in delivering our musical programme. You’ll work closely with colleagues across St Paul's, and with external partners, keeping things organised and coordinated behind the scenes. We're looking for someone who shares our commitment to safeguarding, collaboration, and delivering the very best service.
As part of the team, you will be responsible for:
- coordinate Music department schedules, resources, and communications to ensure services run smoothly;
- liaise with the Virgers, Liturgy, and Events teams to align musical planning with Cathedral operations;
- provide diary management and scheduling support to the Director of Music;
- manage general and specific email correspondence for the Music department;
- maintain departmental records, databases, and filing systems;
- provide administrative support for the coordination of special services, concerts, recordings, and external events involving Cathedral musicians including celebrity organ recitals;
- collate and submit monthly departmental data to payroll for processing including additional payments for special services, the payment of deputy singers etc.
We're looking for someone with:
- extensive experience in high-level administration;
- diary management experience - managing complex schedules and resolving competing priorities with confidence and tact;
- excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and spoken;
- experience in providing administrative support for financial planning and budget monitoring, including invoice processing and liaison with finance teams;
- ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and make decisions;
- proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

We're recruiting an Electrician to join our Property team, supporting the maintenance and preservation of our iconic building.
About the Property team
Our Property team is responsible for the care, safety, and long term sustainability of the St Paul’s Cathedral estate, including the Cathedral itself, the School, Chapter House, nearby Amen Court and, when required, the Tillingham Estate in Essex.
The role
As our Electrician, you'll ensure electrical safety and compliance across these historic and operational spaces, enabling worship, visitor activities, learning and daily operational life to continue smoothly and safely.
In this vital role, you will:
- ensure electrical systems across the estate comply with current regulations and safety standards
- maintain accurate compliance documentation including Part P certification
- respond to reactive maintenance needs and undertake preventative electrical maintenance
- lead and deliver minor electrical projects, including ordering materials and coordinating trades
- support ongoing planning for future electrical system renewal
- maintain tools, parts, and equipment, ensuring correct storage and upkeep
- work collaboratively with colleagues and external contractors, ensuring minimal disruption to Cathedral activities
Who we're looking for
We're looking for someone who has:
- a City & Guilds 2382-22 – 18th Edition qualification
- C&G 2391-52 Inspection and Testing qualification
- experience in electrical installation, maintenance and project delivery
- strong problem-solving skills with a proactive, can-do attitude
- the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
- experience using CAFM systems (for example, Vision Pro) but training will be provided if needed
- good interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively across a busy organisation
- flexibility to support major services and events, including working at height and occasional overtime
- appreciation of the unique needs of a historic and sacred building

We are looking for a new recruit to join our friendly cleaning team, working in the Cathedral and its associated buildings. This is a fantastic opportunity to work behind the scenes of one of the most iconic buildings in the world, keeping it safe and clean for all its visitors and staff.
The role includes cleaning the steps leading up to the famous frontage of the Cathedral, the vast and beautiful Cathedral floor, the largest crypt in Europe, the hidden corridor of the Triforium, the breath-taking galleries, plus staff offices and communal areas.
To thrive in this role, you’ll need to be comfortable with the everyday manual work, including the 500+ stairs to the Galleries. We’d also love someone with a positive approach to work, who is reliable and who enjoys working as part of a team.

Senior HR Advisor
We are looking to recruit 2 Senior HR Advisors; who are passionate about supporting our staff as they care for this historic landmark, provide Christian worship and welcome visitors from across the world.
As a key part of a small HR team, you will work in partnership with managers to understand the operation of their areas and to provide operational HR interventions and people plans to deliver the Cathedral’s mission, strategies, values and business plans. You will lead on all aspects of HR responsibility within your assigned business areas, including recruitment, employee management, development and training. You will also support the Head of HR to review policies and deliver projects.

- extensive experience of working in a fast-paced HR environment;
- excellent relationship-building skills; and
- up-to-date knowledge and experience of UK employment law and advising on HR policies and procedures.
