We are open for sightseeing from Monday to Saturday. Up to date opening times can be found on our Calendar page. Our Keeping Your Visit Safe webpage has the latest up-to-date information about the COVID-19 safety measures we have in place.

Please note that the Whispering Gallery remains closed to the public until further notice. The Stone Gallery and Golden Gallery will be open for visits on Mondays, Fridays, Saturdays and daily during school holidays. Please note that entrance to the Golden Gallery is subject to availability due to capacity controls in operation, and there may be time restrictions in place.

We recommend booking in advance for our best rates but do allow walk-up visits and have good capacity to welcome these visitors. You can book online right up to the the start time of each 30 minute entry timeslot, subject to availability, and your tickets will be emailed to you. Visit dates are currently bookable from one month in advance.

Admission passes or vouchers issued by our sales partners are validated and redeemed on the day only. Capacity is always kept available on the day for these visits. Alternatively you are welcome to make an entry timeslot reservation ahead of your visit via the link below.

Promotional offers (Tesco partner voucher codes / National Art Pass holders 50% off / Blue Peter Badge card holders free admission) can be used and are validated and redeemed on our walk-up priced tickets only. Capacity is always kept available on the day for these visits. Alternatively you are welcome to make an entry timeslot reservation ahead of your visit via the link below. When you visit, we accept card or cash for any payment balance due.

The National Rail 2 for 1 offer is available for pre-bookings only, and the pre-booking link is provided from the Days Out Guide website after you register there.

Book Annual Passes: 365 days for the price of 1.
Your tickets will be treated as a donation and you will receive 12 months free entry for the same price as visiting once. Annual Passes are open to all, but UK taxpayers please consider applying Gift Aid on your order to allow the Cathedral to receive Gift Aid benefit of 25 pence for every £1 you donate.
