Installation of The Revd Paula Hollingsworth as Chaplain to St Paul's Cathedral
14 February 2020
The Revd Paula Hollingsworth, former Vicar of Priddy and Westbury sub Mendip with Easton, Dean of Women’s Ministry for the Diocese of Bath and Wells, and Sub Dean of Wells Cathedral, has been installed as Chaplain to St Paul’s.
The service of installation took place during Evensong attended by the Bishop of London, members of St Paul’s Cathedral and the college of Canons, including guests and friends of Paula from the West Country.
As Chaplain Paula will work within the team of clergy who serve at St Paul’s and has day to day responsibility for the pastoral care and support of Cathedral staff, volunteers, regular worshippers and the pupils, staff and parents of the Cathedral School. The Chaplain also has a distinctive liturgical role in contributing to key pastoral services such as Confirmations, Diocesan services, school services, the Chrism Mass and commemorations for Cathedral staff.
'I am grateful to all who came to my service of licencing and installation, and to the community of St Paul's Cathedral and School who have made me so welcome. I am enjoying meeting people, learning about how the Cathedral works and being a part of many different services. I look forward to a deeper engagement with many people as I settle into my new role.’
