Bring us O Lord God (set to the words of former Dean, John Donne), and pieces by Benjamin Britten and
Will Todd.
More than 200 Friends plus hundreds of others attended; amongst the congregation was Patricia Routledge CBE, Friend and actress whose brother
was a former Canon Treasurer of the Cathedral.
The Very Reverend Nicholas Frayling, Dean Emeritus of Chichester, preached.
As part of the service, the new curtains to the Dean’s and Minor Canons’ aisles were dedicated. The curtains were part-funded by the Friends,
and commissioned from Watts & Co.
