Surprise St Paul's photo competition shortlist revealed

After six weeks of competition and almost 600 entries, the shortlist for the surprise St Paul's photograph competition has been announced.

The brief was simple: we were looking especially for images of St Paul’s which are less-seen - whether the entire Cathedral or just a small detail. The rest was then left open to each photographer’s interpretation.

Competition organisers faced a tough choice to select 12 images, one of which will now be chosen to be the winner by National Portrait Gallery's Director, Sandy Nairne.

The winner, who will enjoy a private behind-the-scenes tour of the Cathedral and dinner at the Grange Hotel's Benihana Restaurant for six people, will be announced before the end of the week.
